Would it be worth it, perhaps waiting until next week would be a better option.can you not launch a paypal claim against him?

It's a shame, a real shame.
Unfortunately, all we can really do as mods/admin is ban people that have been known to cause problems.
As with all fora, it really is a case of "caveat emptor" and "caveat venditor" when buying and selling stuff. You must protect yourself as much as possible, pay with a cheque, sent to the vendor's personal address, you have their name and address then. Talk to them on the phone before paying for goods, exchange as much contact detail as possible.
We can only carry out certain procedures when something like this happens. I am sure we will help as much as we can though, if anyone has problems with a seller, or with a buyer, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can at least monitor if people are having problems with a member.

Mid February this year I agreed to buy a 2 core radiator from MI-RON, and paid £47 as a paypal "gift" as instructed by the seller.
Another user on here bought and paid for the kenlowe fan from the same advert in the same way.
The long and the short of it all is that neither of us have ever recieved either our goods or the money back.
It tuned out that the Pay-pal address we had paid was mini-kel's and contact with MI-RON and Mini-kel ended up as a play off between them, resulting in a shirty email from Mi-RON telling me that I had, got the money back already and "what was my problem" I have no idea why I was paying someone else for MI-RON's goods and have no idea what the setup is between them.
Obviously now 10 months later I have got over it, but still "cross", and I can assure anybody the money never came back into my pay-pal account.
I did try a pay-pal dispute but as it was a "gift" you cant make any dispute claim.
What did I learn from this?
1. Dont pay on pay-pal as a "gift" as you haven't got leg to stand on. If the seller wants to loose the paypal charge, just offer a couple of extra quid to cover the charges.
2. Try to get the contact details of who you are buying off so at least there may be some comeback.
I have bought a few things off the forum since but am very careful, and do a lot of nagging.
What else could I have done? nothing its all down to trust at the end of the day.

My post may not seem connected to this problem but stick with it.

And who would miRon be? None other than Oldskoolracer who has scammed people on here too. He also went by the name modyboy who, surprise surprise, got banned from buying/selling for scamming people. His real name is Arron Morris and personally, i would be suspicious of anyone or anything to do with him.

Take the receipt to a post office. Most offer a faxing service. If it was for £100 I'd soon find a shop that had one and give them £1.50 for the service.

Yeah no sympathy for you there mate. How hard is it to find a fax machine. I could name 3 or 4 shops within half a mile that have one. If your too lazy to put the effort in then well tough ****!
And on a seperate note for everybody that has been scammed or thinks they have.
NEVER SEND A PAYMENT THROUGH PAYPAL AS A GIFT. ALWAYS SEND IT AS A NORMAL TRANSACTION THEN HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE SOMEWAY OF GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK. IF THE SELLER SAYS THEY WILL ONLY EXCEPT PAYMENT AS A GIFT THEN WALK AWAY THEY ARE NOT WORTH DEALING WITH!

to be honest i think you all need to stop bad mouthing kel because he is a lovely bloke and you have to think about the postal strikes that are going on everyone has busy times and has to delay a few things he has been very busy at work like i said before getting peoples minis done
Thatmay be true, but it is also true that he has messed around a very large amount of people on this forum, and I for one will never have anything to do with him again, and unfortunatly has meant i am incredibly sceptacle about dealing with anyone on this forum now.
