Just a quick post to recommend Chris at Retro Retrims - he has done a sterling job in 'restoring' some original GT door cards for me by carefully stripping the vinyl and foam and remounting them onto new cards.

The outcome is superb and better than I was hoping for. Certainly better (and much cheaper) than buying new repro ones from Newton.

One highly recommended Mini supplier that needs supporting with plenty of business. >_<

Unfortunately I don't have any before pictures - they were just scabby looking door cards with the vinyl coming away and backs split, cracked and bent where they had been badly handled and had been wet in the past.

What I was impressed with was his ability to preserve the (relativey) rare GT vinyl and re-use, making what looked like almost new cards. Especially as when the cards are made oringially the heat welding tends to stick everything together - making removing the vinyl and padding very tricky.

I'd have to agree, a friend has had alot of trim made up, and even requested the possibility of custom work, to which he delivered, and excellent products! I can't wait for my friend to show off his mini and his work complements is so so well! xx

Shucks, thanks for the compliments :)

Whilst I'll be the first to admit sometimes turnaround can take a little while due to demand
I'd like to think that the effort that goes into the trim outweighs that.

Things are moving along nicely, thank you all with the continued support. Here's to an awesome 2010.

Hell I might even make a few shows in my own custon trimmed Mini!!!
