Hi guys, my name is Chris, I’m 17 and live in south east London. Two days ago was Christmas, this year was one of those year where there’s no new gadgets I need, nothing to be overly excited about... so i asked for a load of power tools and hammers.

Christmas day, and my sister (who is in her 30's) and my sisters friend come over for there annual present giving... and then unusually, she asked me to "go find" my present in the room next door. so I got up and had a look, and found nothing... they told me to open the curtains, and still, nothing. so she tells me to go outside to the drive, and there sits a rather cool looking Austin mini.

the mini needs a bit of work doing to it though. but the engine run and the transmition is intact !!

this is a list of some of the work that needs doing:
radiator water leak (being fixed soon)
brake light switch
choke cable (being fixed soon)
passenger door window regulator
weld the boot floor back together (has a hole in it)
well the sills back on and get some sills
fuel tank cap
nuts to secure bonnet (all 4 of them)
strip and check front and rear breaks
a few panels could do with a bit of a spray etc
has a dented radiator grill
and 1 wheel nut

Apart from that its perfect.

Here is a few pictures I just took, also I don’t know what car it is, I need to send off for the paper work, anyone on here be able to identify it?

All I know is that it’s a limited edition and only 2000 made? Maybe 2500..

Yup, as said- best pressie ever! Your relatives have great taste.

You have a limited edition 'Racing Green' Mini - this, along with the 'Flame Red' were forerunners to the Rover Coopers. :)

It's no more valuable than another in similar condition etc, having an LE is just nice really!! Having said that, probably worth a little more than yer average City or even Mayfair but not much!

All Minis are special anyway !!

Nice, me too!! What scale/type of RC did you race? Welcome to the forum, i had no Mini knowledge prior to joining this forum, but you soon pick it all up! Good luck with the Mini :)

iv done alot in rc...

fisrt i got a hyper 7 buggy and raced nitro offroad 1/8th scale
then the second year it was sold, as i couldnt afford the fuel, so i got myself a rather rare predator x10 electric 1/10th buggy
this year iv been designing speed run cars, which i aim to break the land speed record in for bikes, im still doing this, just waiting out for a job and some money...

i have also designed a rocket powerd car that uses a hybrid rocket, but could not afford it. but i sent the plans to a friend and he built it, ended up breaking the land speed record at 163mph... faster than my mini :)
