The smug grin on the face of the guy at the start of the video tells me he's at his happiest when whinging so it's no surprise it's hardly objective.
He could have shown how it was possible to let the guy out of the back without getting out of the driver's seat before he parked the car, which is the main purpose of the extra door. If it's a genuine film then he must be a moron if he can't work out how to step into the space behind the front door (as the driver, naturally, did) so he can close the suicide door to get by. Rear doors: swings 'n roundabouts, they could just as easily showed someone struggling with a tail gate in a low garage or multi-storey carpark. As with a real Mini estate, at least you can just pull forward to get access and enjoy sitting in a portable windbreak.
Binis still lack design integrity for being too much style over function though.

Now i dont know about you, but i often see people being dropped off by the side of the road, where people get out the back, and the driver then drives off.
That wouldnt work with the bini blubman...

It looks like the stick is offset to the right which would be better for RHD?
You mean regarding the Cobra? No, trust me the stick isn't angled towards the right. The following picture is of the interior of my old GT....in the picture it is in neutral (it was idling) and you can see that it doesn "curve" at all. My GT ran the same transmission as the 1999 Cobra (Tremec T45) and the shifter itself was the same as the one on the 2001/2002 Cobras (they ran the Tremec TR3650). Most of the "curve" you see is from the stock gear shift knob.

What about the fact that the driver HAS to get out, to let the people in the back out.

erm ok, I watched again 'n granted it'd be none too practical if you're older than 7.
Gearstick, I meant the one in J'lo's Bini piccy.

They were converted by Holbeck Engineering in Surrey hence why they had the transmission selector the wrong way around

I know they did the fox bodied early Mustang III too and i think they wernt made in RHD either otherwise im guessing they wouldnt be converting them

Keep Saying ive got Mustangs Out of my system then i want one again

That is a VERY nice conversion. Looks OEM! Once I drove my first Mustang GT I was hooked for life. To think.....I used to be into GMs with a passion, I am proud to say I am a member of the Blue Oval Brigade. I love the 'Stang.....I'm as crazy about them as I am about Minis!
