You can probably find a bit of wire kicking about, salvage the Yellow/white off the ballasted setup?

I can't see when you'd use a switch, why would you want the ignition on without the MJ? You could always just pull the fuse if they are all separate.

Could do, forgot about that. :thumbsup:

But when I look at the ford 12v wire coming from the coil, it seems to be quite abit lighter than the 8amp stuff I have, but I'll go 15A for peace of mind.

15A is what they recommend for wiring up their rev limiter. You I could google up the coil pack resistance and work it out.

I = V/r 12A = 12V/1 Ohm

I dare say you could get away with less as the coil is constantly cycling on & off and that's done in the EDIS. You'd have less worry about permanent grounding with 15A.

You will find the ford wire is not made of brass, instead its an conductively improved wire alloy (i believe using silica, or something) hence you can use a smaller wire for the same current. Plus the insulation sleeve will be thinner.

Haha, I don't know why I didn't think of working it out, been revising Ohm's law etc for my A level physics exam this month. Apologies, :thumbsup:

the reason I have a switch is so that I can eliminate any problems if their ever is any and then i can rule out the mj
