My heater motor has packed up and need a new one, are there any others that will fit? There are plenty on ebay that look similar but the Mini ones are silly money compared too all the other Rover ones.

i believe the later mini heaters had larger vent pipes than the older ones so are not direct replacements.

i used an mpi heater motor internals as a replacement in my pickup type heater but not sure if the fit is as easy the other way.

It takes the p!ss as soon as they put Mini infront of and item they add £££ and a new one is £250.

ther has been a thread about fitting a sierra motor to a mini heater, but i don't think it was injection specific. It maybe of some value so check it out anyway http://www.theminifo...x...5&hl=sierra

I don't think that will work with the MPi heater as the motor is on one side, with a longer fan impellor on the end of the shaft  Looks like that conversion is for the old tin heaters, not the plastic ones

I have an SPi and had a similar problem, having had all the plastic fins shear off on my motor. I looked around but they are all silly prices if available at all. I ended up buying an MPi heater off ebay as above (I paid more than this so it's a good buy - I don't think you'll get what you want for anything less than this to be honest..)... MPi ones work much better than SPi ones so happy with the result...

What's wrong with the old one? Maybe it's possible to repair the old motor?
