Sorry to keep rack peoples brains, but is it easy to replace the mirrors on these types of mirrors, as can get my hands on a pair but the mirrors are shot.

to be honest, stay clear of them, bullet mirrors are sh!te, they look ok but are a total waiste of time if you want to actually use them as you can't see a thing with them.

Yep
there is a screw at the point of the bullet.
undo it with a fat headed screw driver and out pops the mirror at the other end
u can also losen this screw slightly and move the glass a bit then re tighten
so u do get some adjustment.

We bought some old style ones for TC's Hatter, but didn't want to drill into the door so bought some new ones from The Mini Shop I think. They weren't very good quality so I used the old mirrors and new brackets to fit them. With a bit of setting up to get the angle right, you can see perfectly well. Yes, they do restrict your vision a bit but the mirror surface is only a little bit smaller and as you should always look around you when manouvering anyway I think they are Ok and look much better than the great big boxy ones.
I am not sure why you would be looking at the ground beside you through your mirrors, unless you are used to driving trucks!

I had bullets on my old mini and they worked fine.
I actually drilled another hole into the door and angled the mirror upwards and then tilted the glass down so I could see in each mirror fully.
I am a biker too so i always check my shoulder before manouvering anway!
Ive got the normal mirrors now but they are chrome, and they go with the style of the car!
