Hi, I have aquired a 1310cc engine in its stripped down form, the gearbox that came with it is an old 22g 1128 remote change box, my car is a 1993 car with rod change so I cannot use the gearbox. The engine is an A series block, I suspect from either a morris 1300gt or old 1275 gt mini, and appears in excellent health, can i use the engine end and gearbox from a 1989 A+ 998cc engine and build my 1310cc up from that????

another one 3rd time this has been asked the last 24hrs lol

yes you can use the 1310 engine and put it on the 998 A+ gearbox

you will need to use the 998 A+ tranfer gears and get a 1275 A+ primery gear as the 998 one wont fit the 1275 crank

you will need to use the A+ transfer cae as well and it is not already been drilled for the breather then drill it to give the engine two breather or get hold of a 1275 A+ tranfer case

i have a set of 1275 ecominy drop gears for a 1275 if you get stuck finding a 1275 primery
