Just remembered there are diesel heaters for overnighting in truck cabs, might be worth looking in to.
Paraffin can be a bit of a vague term, as can be many used around oil, paraffins can mean any hydrocarbons.

Paraffins are the straight chain hydrocarbons with no double bonds, hence they are the first hydrocarbons to crystallize as the temperature is reduced.
There are millions of hydrocarbon molecules possible, paraffins are just one group of hydrocarbons.
They range from methane (C1) through e.g. butane (C4)........octane (C8) and so on, the longer the chain the higher the melting point so chains above about C16 (cetane) are solids at room temperature (shown below).
