not past northampton, but i'll be travelling down the M1 from junction 9 (St.Albans), right into London.

Why does the L2B run start so early? I read that we have to collect our run packs before 7:30AM, and i'm REALLY not a morning person

7.30AM? People will start moving about at 5AM!

Probably won't wake up until I reach Brighton :)

News just in fresh from the official London to Brighton website.
L.S.M.O.C , have again pulled out the stops for campers at crystal palace and will again have the giant screen that will be showing some films in the evening ( films TBA ) ,along with the inflatable assault course and the sound off competition. As the classic double deck bus was such a success last year this year plans are to have two buses running L2B runners into central london and back for sight seeing and shopping.
Crystal palace park will be open for camping on the sat from 12.00hrs onwards.
This year the Crystal palace part of the ticket ( L ) will be marked upon entrance to the park , this is to prevent ticket transfers once inside the park.

Stroker, how do we put our names down/reserve/pay for the buses? Will they be constantly running?

How does this work for types like me that arrive in the small hours of Sunday morning and hide in the lower car park - as my mini isn't actually entering the park!

Does anyone know what time on the saturday night they shut the gates, to stop people coming in?

Turns out I am going to see Micheal Buble at the O2 on the saturday evening, so was thinking I would come over from there, but I guess it will be late ish!

Where is the concert going to be?

Could always park the Mini at Crystal Palace, then hop on the bus (which as Stroker said will be running into London) which you could THEN take either a train or bus.

Steve,

Drive your Mini into the camping area at CP and then make your way to the O2 arena. After the show get the tube from North Greenwich to London Bridge. There is a train from London Bridge at 23.24hrs that takes you to Crystal Palace. the journey time from LB to CP is 19 minutes.

Sorted!

THe park it self is closed at 12 for minis to arrive.

As it is a public park.. you can arrive on foot at any time. So as said above, Park your mini up before you go to the concert, then it doesn't matter what time you turn up on foot.

David, The tickets being marked etc, is to stop non runners/unofficial runners bringing in their cars into the park, to camp. I can see their point on this one as they normally just write the ticket number down when you arrive, but doing that, how can they tell if the ticket has passed through twice? It won't affect you on the Saturday morning.
