Very happy with my ATB for road use. Never driven a mini with a plate diff, sounds like it could be "interesting"

Well, I only drove my Mini with the Tran-X on the three different layouts of the new Nürburgring and one hillclimb and found it very nice and pleasant to drive. Pushing the car around in the paddock or at home though is a nightmare as the two front wheels stick together and I have to lift the front to get it moving. This at least indicates that the lsd is working.

For the track, yes, they are exceptionally good, though, these days, without question, I'd have to fit power steering !  But that's just me. While I found the LSD brilliant on tarmac tracks, I was able to get consistently faster times with a 'locked' diff (almost locked), though the steering became crazy heavy. I also found in the paddock area, both the LSD and the Locked Diff an utter pig, the car almost refused to turn particularly on the gravel.
