Iv been looking at the v-max scart convertion for a carbed a-serise and it looks impressive to say the least!!! It comes in at just under a grand as well for the whole kit which seems good to me!!

1293cc max and for Crank,

Ni temperd,x drilled and ballanced with the flywheel and one that is no more than 10/10 in regrind size for strength that should be adequate for reliabity and not too wallet busting, just buy high quality main and big end bearings. A uprated center main strap would not be over kill really to be honest, it will give the crank support at high revs and is a cheap mod really.

best of luck i look forward to hearing of its performance results

You certainly don't need a super duper crankshaft. A good condition standard item will be fine. This is all most people, myself included are running in their forced induction motors.

I had a 1293cc with 18cc dished pistons (no decomp plate).
Standard box, X pin diff, standard crank etc

Did 55k then sold it.
