Will a Mini fit in a Transit ?

I really hope so !
That would just make me happy and set off an hour of fantasies about robbing the tower of London.

AN IMAGE FOR YA - three minis making the jump over Tower bridge as it opens then slipping into three white Tranny vans
who vanish three ways into the South London traffic.

The real question is will the Crown Jewels fit in the boot of three Minis ?

Anyone like to suggest a plan for this caper ?

you have a very vivid imagination,i like the plan needs some mini and tunnel action imo, past imax and elephant and castle for some sight seeing then for nostalgia out of london via the old kent road and blackheath-then into back of transit vans (retro lutons) :)

back to OP ,i picked up my mini van with a transit based luton, mini vans are longer and i had loads of room for parts ect only prob is the height even with a tail lift so i used a forklift to load it then a couple of doors as ramps the other end....

what about using a dropside truck like your local scrap man does :) i've seen pleanty of cars on the back of a tipper/dropside would have to check your weights incase of plod :)

We had a short wheel base transit and fit a complete shell in. It overhung by about an inch so we just tied the doors shut. Got a picture somewhere....

I would love to make some sort of amateur film with Minis. When I was younger and at college, we used to come up with scripts and stuff like that, but I never did it.

It wouldnt be that difficult to do, assuming you avoid most of the procedures normal filmmakers have to go through. and you could easily come up with a plot set in london somewhere.

loving the idea of "the london job"....maybe they could drive through a mini show/event which is taking place, and park up amongst other minis to evade the rozzers :shifty: , just to recreate the scene where they park in a used car dealership.....but obviously they arent in used car dealers so much these days...

.....the job could be going on during london to brighton weekend, which would also recreate the confusion of the traffic lights/traffic jam scene but in a whole new way  :proud:

The Tranny Job. Sounds a bit rude.
