I think double springs would equal the same poundage as single spring, dont quote me on this. Double springs reduce valve bounce.

Is it going to be on a road car?

I would NOT use 1.5 rockers! Just use the cam as designed - and save loads of valve train wear.

I've already got the rockers, I was thinking of getting a cam that's designed for high lift rockers tho

YOU might not. But they must be selling otheriwise people wouldn't stock them.

They may wear on higher lift cams, I mean you wouldn't want 1.5's with a 296 or 310 scatter would you? I cant see there being catastropic wear, thats what the roller tips are for, to reduce side loading and valve guide wear. You will get wear if you use high poundage springs (easy to understand that).

I read years ago that the Kent cams were all designed to be run with 1.5s (it may be in Vizards book). In any case the Kent cams always work better with 1.5s from my experience and with the correct springs shouldn't cause additional wear to anything other than the guides if not using roller tip rockers.

Because bmcecosse only ever recommends MG metro cams and 1.3 rockers!
