yeh kent have always used 1.5 roller rockers with cams obvioulsy not on mental scatter cams but they have advised roller rockers in the last 2 kent cam brouchers ive read

Would of thought there would be no need with the higher lift cams such as a 296.

Theres nothing wrong with 1.5s on any cam. Ive run them on many cams and currently on my 310scatter.

Never seems to be any explanation why not to use them or any evidence they cause increased wear..

Fair comment, im using a set with my 276, cant see there being any problems with wear, I would of thought all the development that went into designing them would mean there wouldn't be any trouble with wear. They should be s*it hot for how much they cost.

The 310 is awesome - tonnes of power and torque.
Its only useable on the road with a 3.9 - 4.1 diff and a light car. Mine pulls strong from 3,500 right upto 9,500rpm. The rest of the engine has to be very well sorted for it to work well.
