My first choice is my planned rebuild of a 1989 7 port mini. If that does not complete, my 1978 1275 rotbox mini. I dont really want to put my deposit down and then get to the week we leave to find that I cant go because neither of my minis are fit for the trip!!
So im in if the Alfa would be allowed to come out and play in a worst case scenario and I can send my deposit straight away!

How do you guys feel about an Alfa GTV 3.0 V6, its 1999 so not technically a classic, but I think its retro!?
Retro? Um-squeeze me?

Its not retro its a modern classic which basically means you have around 166 days from now to sort out your other proper retro cars

Your post makes it sound like you just want to bring the Alfa though

Send Matt a PM, but I would have thought as long as you are intending and make a real effort to get a car ready, if all goes tits up at the last minute they wouldn't turn you away.

Believe me, I would much rather rather take the mini! But you never how these things are going to pan out do you. I think I'll just make sure the rotbox runs reliably first and not mess about with it before September, trouble is I get very curious and am a total fiddler under the bonnet.
What are the roads like that way round europe? Pretty solid? Or am I going to need to think about spare arms!?

Amazing. I only noticed a couple of roads with holes on the entire journey.

If you apply for the run in your Mini, you do need to get it finished to be a real part of the run.
If you didn't get it finished, you would be able to bring another vehicle as an emergency replacement, but.....
You'd have to amend the ferry booking, you wouldn't qualify for the run stickers and door plaques etc. Though you would have pre-paid for them.
It's a tricky one really.
PM me and we'll have a chat about it. Bug please remember, if you're thinking of coming you need to be getting your deposit to me quickly.
One option would be to follow us there in the Alfa, but not as part of the run (I.e. Book your own ferry and pay for camping upon arrival). Then see what the run is ilke this year and come as a "real" runner next year?

When would my deposit have to be in by and what happens if I can't make it?
