I think you would be better off selling it as a project, someone will take it on especially being such a rare model.

I think it seems worse than it is. Lights, washers, brakes, balljoints, tyres etc are not really hard or expensive things to sort especially if you can do it yourself. Its just the welding really but its not terrible.

Everything but the welding is an easy fix. The welding required probably wouldn't be too bad to someone who wants a big project with lots of welding involved.

I definitely agree with Ben, selling her as a project would be the better option IMO

how is this a hard decision? theres not a lot at all on there that is hard to fix so how could you consider scrapping a potentially good car

it seems a long list at first, but it could quite easily be things like bulbs blown etc

and designers really arent that rare are they? theres loads more designers than probably all other limited edition minis about

Also needs the tuning sorted, as it's high CO not to much trouble, high HC would have been a problem...

I just can't believe you've been driving a car with no lights...

Interested if you want to let it go.

Shes been off the road for sometime, the lights were not working due to a lead which came off, that was a quick fix in the garage. She had an MOT last year, although i think the tester needs shooting :dozing:

Ive asked for the garage to give me a quote for doing all the welding etc.

Im suprised the subframe passed with only an advisory - may well change it over anyways. I guess it all boils down to how much the welding and tyres will cost as those are the most expensive parts - im running a539 and i think the best ive been quoted is 50 fitted per corner - still at least 200 quid just there.

Most of the silly stuff I can do, the horn doesnt function because it wasnt in the car its on my workbench, same with the pasenger door handle -

I think ill see if the garage will do: Welding, CV gaitor, sort out the brakes (there all new brakes so must just be setting em up thats the problem.), and replace the tie rods, setup the engine as its running V. Rich and then ill do the tinkering with everything else.

I think ill give her 500 more quid and if it comes in over budget shes a goner :dozing:

Designers are reasonably rare, they made 1000 in white, 1000 in black, not as rare as some granted, but shes a good lil mota!

not trying to be funny but its far from safe to drive the car in that state. and i cant see how after only one year it has got that bad
