Well, back on topic...

We went to quotemehappy for Mrs Roxoff's insurance - they were the cheapest by quite a long way; but they neglect to ask if you have a full or provisional license on their on-line application (she's had a license for 10 yrs, but not passed her test yet!) Saved us quite a bit, she still hasn't had a chance to drive the mini either.

I had my mini as my first car (still is lol) i did Pass Plus, and my insurance is £800 fully comp. the car is a mini mayfair 998cc, and the policy is with Norich union direst, they give 48% off if you do pass plus. but it also depends on the area you live in.

Are you sure it doesn't say in the same print of your contract that you have to have a full licence?!

Just because they don't ask you doesn't mean its not required, last time I got insurance they didn't ask me whether the car had an MOT but in the small print it says I have to have one.

My mini is my first car. Its so fun to drive, definately go for it. Hopping from a mini to a ford focus all the time when learning to drive was a bit weird, I can tell you. I'm insured with Liverpool Victoria (Victoria is my mini's name too) I just got my quote for my second year with them, i think its just over £700
