Hey!
Now I know that a 1980 car doesn't qualify as a classic car and therefor doesn't qualify for black and silver plates.
But, it's on an old W reg, so how many traffic police actually know and realise this?
Also, If the car was to have the classic plates and got pulled, would it be a fine/points/caution?
Cheers

Well I've been pulled in a '72 mini with B&W plates.... so does that answer your question...
As for the penalty, at best is a ticking off, I'll leave the rest to your imagination... but "points make prizes"

Best thing is make them velcro onto the normal plates, if coppers pull you, use the thing, "ive just been to a meet, i have forgot to take um off" then you take them off.... dont know if that will work or not.

My plate on my Swift GTi was ZAX 6653 and was from N.I. aparently.
I'm tempted to use Blacks on my 1987(!!!!). I'm just weighing up the pros and costs (if caught) of it!

My mini is a C reg. Its 1980. Me dad said aslong as Im not doing anything to attract police attention (like driving stupid). then theres no reason for me to get pulled.
The police are very easy going in chatham though!

At the end of the day, providing you arent being an ar5e on the road. Theres no reason for you to be tugged for it.
