the only VW conversion i know of is the mr bean looky likey mini running a polo gti engine. i think it's an over seas car.

there is a thread in here i think, showing an extensive build of a mini/audi hybrid car, looks like a mini, only wider and uses a 1.8t audi engine i recall, using a customised audi tt bulkhead i think it was.

just read this thread, i thought i was the first i guess not haha, I'm 4 months into my vw 2.0 swap and its looking pretty promising, i am beyond stoked!!
