I just bougt a set my self. Fitted them yesterday and they look really good. Will post a picture as soon i have the dashbord back in. If I should say one thing though! Its a little annoying that thet they lack, the 0 mph mark and the 0 revs mark. Pretty hard to fit the needles exact when refitting.
But all in all a good produck for at good price
That's good feedback.
We get loads of emails saying "brilliant - love them" but very people ever say how they think we could improve things - so thanks.
Honestly glad to have a bit of feedback and please do send the pictures.
The reason we don't (by default) put a zero on the gauges is that a tacho (rev counter) at zero essentially means "engine off" so at
zero the tacho isn't reporting anything to you. A rev counter can't really have a "zero revs" line that he needle could swing to because
as soon as the engine is running, it's necessarily running at more than zero revs.
A speedo at zero means "not moving" which, as a driver, you really ought to already know !
However, if you think it looks great and you want a zero on your clocks just let us know and we will happily put it on - no charge.
Plenty people who never take their Minis outside the UK have the km/h ring added (for free) just because they like it - and why not ?
Plenty of our overseas customers have an MPH ring added just because it reminds them that the Mini was built in England.
But I take your point...
We'll be building a completely new web site in the next couple of months which will allow people to choose all the free options like
km/h rings and customised wording as they order and when we do, we will include the option to have "zero" on the gauges.
May even call it the "skrue" option
Best wishes
Monty
