Trying to get the stuff together for my supercharged engine. As i'm planning a blow through setup would I need a blow off/dump valve for when you come off throttle?

check my post on a similar subject. Im using turbo carb / plenum and an eaton M45 charger front mounted to blow through. managed to get a dump valve of a bini so will be using that

from the looks of all the pictures, the others are just using large dump valves.

yeah im using the bini bypass valve to recirculate the air. you can use two big dump valves from reports from others but i know others that have had slight trouble with self reving untill they can blead enough air.

Ive got the bini bypass valve on mine. We did try a dump valve but it wouldnt work anywhere nesr as well as the bypass valve. I know people have used a dump valve but have spent ages getting the right spring for it to operate well. Take a look on youtube for 1380 blow through charger. Theres some vids on there of the valve in situ and of it running. Im getting the car back at the end of the month so feel free to come and take a look as im in swindon too and a distant member of SMAC! lol

Do you just have it venting to atmosphere?

only asking as on the Bini it puts it back to the pre charger pipe work but I was just going to vta, least I know it works. Just need to get a Bini valve now. Will have to come around and look at it when your back in swindon. You going to come around for some SMAC meets then???

god im sorry about all those repeat posts! Im having to use my mobile and when it freezes i have to keep reloading the page. Feel free to take a look when its back. Its only running 7psi at the mo with 125bhp and 130 torque at 3200 rpm. Just ordered up a 17% reduced pulley to sort that and put standard rockers on to sort the idle and overlap. Havent been to a smoc for god knows! Must be at least 3 years. Will come along once its back and her in doors can bring the other mini!
