Well I'm thinking here.....if I am going to be using cash for parts anyhow then it might be smarter to swap it for parts as I don't get the chance to go shopping for parts. I'd swap the front/bonnet for one of those dashes you make plus cash. You say they are 90 quid,so then that would leave 70 quid. How does that sound? 70 quid along with one of those fab dashes you make.

*Pending* I guess just take pictures of the over all look of the cage, how it is installed, maybe some pictures of the welds.

PM me what you want to go onto the dash and I'll get one squared upi for you.

Pending............can you get some photos of where the door bars atatch to the main frame uprights, the dash rail attatches to the front uprights, and general shots of the bolting positions please.

also, please give us an idea of how long it will take you to remove from the mini. I'll need you to assure me you wont cut, bend or abuse it in removal.

feel like i'm crashing a thread

yep no worries roofless, its in the mini but not bolted in, it goes in & out with ease,

make of cage


bolts to wheel arch (not currently bolted in)


how the front cage bolts to the main hoop & diagonal


bit above head (middle hoop is one piece and the rear bars to the arch are another hoop or what ever you want to call them)


diagonal attached to rear hoop


door bar attached to front leg (same on to middle leg)


roof bar attached to top of front frame (dash bar bolts on the same way)




hope these help, if you are intersted (anyone) roofless then just let me know and ill get it out (half hour job) if you want a picture off it out of the mini but built up thats not a problem, however i'm working down kent this week (leaving tonight) so might not be on hear till friday at the earliest,

Martin said he is swinging over to my place this Sunday around 9AMish (I better have a pot going!) and we are going to sort a few things out then he will be taking the front flip off my hands and I suppose he will be bound for Derby! Are you bringing shifty? If so I had better go buy some bacon, mayo and a fresh loaf of bread!

No - I don't think shifty will be coming along, or at least, I havn't spoken with him about it .
