Just wondering if Frozo has found a Mini yet? I've got a 1982 Mayfair here that I REALLY need gone as it is taking up space! I see he is in West Midlands....maybe if he is willing to come to the East then I'd be happy to pass my spare Mini on to him. It IS a project though...but worth saving! :D

I've got one here that is anxious to get restored! His name is "Freck" and he is a 1982 Mayfair with a good running 998. The gearbox shifts fine too, but he IS a project. I can't see him sitting in my carport any longer and saw you needed one, I'd like him to be taken care of by a fellow Mini lover. He is yours if you want him! :D

It has a stage 1 kit on it in the pictures but this has been removed since then. The bonnet in the pictures isn't included either.

The picture of the patch is on the Drivers side. The Passenger side still has the hole in it BUT I have the panel needed to fix it. It currently has a new heritage seat pan in it as well as a new heritage boot floor. It also comes with a new heirtage boot hinge panel.

If the log book is the book where the mechanics stamp it then yes, I have that book. I have some other papers for it too. The V5c isn't present but the wife & I contacted them to make sure it was kosher and it is, it is SORN. Just need to pay the fee, I think 19 or 20 quid and the V5 would be sent to you. Let me dig out the books I have for it.

I just found it! I have an old MOT test certificate that was issued on January 10th 2002, it had 22,588 miles as of that date. I included pictures of all the stamps from the service book. It started November 18th 1982 and stopped April 9th 1987 on the seventh stamp...the book goes up to 12. So I guess the owner either sold it off in 1987 or she started using a different mechanic? A "Miss Bentley" from Caistor was the very first owner. Originally Freck was "Nautilus Blue"...now as you can see he is all sorts of primer! He often gets mistaken for a brown Mini. Lol. You & your Dad are welcome to swing by and pick him up at your earliest convienence...he isn't really in the way right now.

I just bought my wife a Micra and we have an Audi A3 as well as our US Spec Ford Ranger AND my other Mini....so it is getting cramped! I was trying to sell Freck locally but decided I might as well pass him on to another enthusiast. I saw "Someone give this man a Mini" under your screen name and I thought "I might as well offer him Freck". Freck by the way was my Grandpa's nickname. He always had a thing for British cars...feel free to name him something different.

He also comes with crossmember ends, jacking points, a drivers side door, brand new lower door skin, a bumper, and a battery. His resto won't be for the faint of heart but there have been worse off Minis rescued from the tinworm. I only have one stipulation about taking him....PLEASE post a detail project thread! That is all, I just want to see him return to his former glory! I'll dig around and see if I have any other bits to go with him.
