If it helps you speed up sorting out the classifieds then yes!

I have quite a bit of stuff for sale in the classifieds, most of which is already sold but i can't edit it so all i get is loads of people PM'ing me for stuff that is already sold and my inbox is therefore constantly full, it's just a bit of a joke really. I PM mods and admin and it takes so long to get things edited i can't be bothered any more. I don't know what is happening to this forum anymore, it just seems to be going downhill which is a real shame.

Same with TMF+

R1, If you can't be bothered anymore to get things edited then fair enough.

If you need stuff editing, then I'm offering again, It seems PM's didn't get through last time which is strange but please feel free to PM me with what you'd like editing. Which Mods and Admin did you PM to try and get things edited? It could be an internal error.

Thanks.

P.S> anyone PM'ing me with requests - please provide a link to the advert you want changing/removing. Speeds things up a lot for me - thanks.

When you have 30+ adverts on here it is not worth spending my time PM'ing people, i would be doing nothing else and it is not a very productive way forward.

I have PM quite a few mods (Ethel, panelbeater peter, matt and a few others) not a single one could edit my ads (or even knew that the edit button doesn't work!), also you send a PM and they log out so you send another PM to another mod, they log out, and so it goes on. As I said, it's a joke and needs sorting.

Sad thing is, nobody seems to be bothered about sorting it out. I did think that joining TMF+ would be the answer as I would get 200 more email allocations but that doesn't work either and seems no progress has been made in weeks and weeks!!

As others have already said, I will just start to advertise my stuff elsewhere.

I did ask what options were being thought of but no one answered that either.

Asked for mine to be taken off this morning and are still live and I am still getting questions.

I dont want them marked as sold as they are not... just want them removed as I cannot edit them currently and have no control over the content once posted.

Its not good.

A thread explaining the changes and what/when these will take effect would have helped but instead it seems TMF is run by the Labour party lol

To be fair, the first PM you sent me got forwarded to admin straight away, who then edited the post when they could. The second one you sent to me, I replied, telling you that you need to ask a member of admin, then gave you a list of who those admin members were. I did know that the edit function wouldn't work, hence my forwarding your request to someone that could edit it.

I can understand that it's a PITA, but as explained, people have been editing adverts after an item is sold, so the seller can't complain if the condition isn't as described (as an example). The team have been working on a solution, but it's not going to be immediate.

Sorry if you think it's a joke, or I could've been more helpful, but I did all that I could. People need to remember that all the staff on here are volunteers, fellow enthusiasts. We're here to help, but sometimes it takes time to respond to a request for help.

The moderators that I contacted have been helpful, I am not complaining about that, all i am saying is that it is a very long winded laborious process, i contact a mod, they can't do anything (or reply saying there is an edit button at the bottom and to use that) I reply back saying it doesn't work.....mod contacts admin etc etc, sometimes it gets edited, other times it doesn't.

For example, I had a chrome gearstick for sale for £15, turns out when i took the carpet out it was a quickshift, so i contacted mods to get the price increased to £25 and advert edited to state it is a quickshift. Then I get replies from mods saying they can't change it, only admin can do it, then the price has been changed to £25 but the advert hasn't been changed to state it is a quickshift. Now it looks like I am trying to rip people off charging £25 for a chrome gearstick!! I thought that was what this was meant to avoid?!!

Can someone please update with what the jingo is here?

Has this been sorted out yet? Can we post/edit ads as normal like before or is there new restrictions because of health n safety >_<

I've got things to sell and don't want to be reporting every ad for every little thing to become a nuisance?
