Has anyone tried the new Falkens?

The old patern were rubbish, but the new ones lokk a lot better, I don't know if they've changed the compound.

The Yokys are a safe bet though and what I've been using for years.

Yes, the new falkens are soft compound, and are a massive improvement to the old rubbish tyre..

Yeah, old pattern was just awful. New type are better but still I prefer yokos and dont put anything else on.

Still not as good as the yokos in my opinion.

The 539's are streets ahead of the old Falkens when it comes to grip.
However the old Falkens had better wear characteristics IMHO.

I've got the new asymmetrical type Falcon 165/60x12 tyres fitted all round on my Mini and they are vastly superior to the old directional type in the wet. I do hope they'll last though , or at least last as long as the Yoko alternatives.

ive got the old type falkens, their not that bad in the dry, but in the wet, things get a bit too exciting....
But ive got a set of ze912's in the shed, and am going to fit them in a couple of weeks...

What about the A048? Has anyone tried those?

I'm trying to decide how practical I need to be with my rebuild - do I go with the A539 which will be better in the wet or go all out and have the A048 which looks fantastic and will probably grip incredibly in the dry...

Any comments from anyone who's tried them would be appreciated.
