I've got the new asymmetrical type Falcon 165/60x12 tyres fitted all round on my Mini and they are vastly superior to the old directional type in the wet. I do hope they'll last though , or at least last as long as the Yoko alternatives.

What is the model number to look for on the new 165/60-12 Falcon's?? Don't want to get "last years" by mistake.

Thanks

I have the old Falkens, I really don't rate them at all, they slip a bit in the dry and they're awful in the wet. I'm glad this thread came up so now I know what to get next.

I'm not sure on the model number, but their mostly sold out now and were directional so will be easy to spot.

when i got my mini it came with 2 sets of wheels and tyres, one had the old type falkens, good in the dry, but not for the fainthearted in the wet. the other set had a048s on and they were amazing in the dry, not brilliant in the wet, but better than the old type falkens. im now running the new style falkens which in my opinion are good in the dry and not too bad in the wet. i cant comment on a539s but if they are as good as people say, ill be using them next
