but what we spend on car insurance we save on health insurance.Dang....you guys have some CRAZY insurance companies here. When we were still in the states I had my old '99 Mustang GT insured FULL coverage through USAA and it only cost us roughly $936 per year. That is approx 592 pounds. And it was a 5 Speed, 320 Horse V8, with shorty headers, full stainless flowmaster catback exhaust (H Pipe), 17x8" wheels, BBK Cold Air Intake, and EXTREMELY dark window tint....you couldn't even see me inside the car if my face was pressed up against the glass!
I'd also like to mention that it was $78 per month for not just the Mustang....we also had a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee (5.2L V8), and a 2004 Pontiac Vibe all through the same company. We got discounts for being married, then we got a discount for having multiple vehicles, and then we got a discount for having a baby. Then we got another discount when my wife turned 25. Also, the insurance rates get a little cheaper for us every time she "ranks up" within the Military.

Why Am I Still Playing With Minis When I Could......
