Temp files! - I gained a whopping 14GB of space back when I cleared all that stuff out!
Also ... make sure you've emptied the recycle bin ... anything deleted won't actually delete until you clear that, too.
Tango ... As a side note, we're with a company called Avanti Communications for broadband. It's a form of satellite internet. We're too far from our exchange to get broadband in the normal way. It's not cheap, but it's quicker than dial up. You can get different speeds though, it's just how much you're prepared to pay.
Hope this helps

Try this neat little program (no install needed and it's only 1MB big), Temp File Cleaner. If it's realted to Windows and not a malware issue it will clear it. I recon it does a better job at clearing Windows files than CCleaner personally.
Only problem is that it requires Java but any well seasoned machine should have that. I'm doing a bit of Googling on the winsxs folder now for you.
Dave.

Move your page file to the D drive - that should free you up a ton of space...

(It says on there not to move it to another partition but frankly I've done it myself many times and I've found it more often than not improves performance, not degrades it!)
