Read the 16valve mini club forums and try and learn all you can from there.
I'm not as knowledgeable on doing conversions in Clubmans. Give me a day or 2 and I'll see if I can part with any knowledge.
But basically, get a written off rover 200 and work from there. You can probably use a metro subframe too but I'll get back to you on that one.

Give watson rally a ring and see how much for the basic frame and rear spacers other than a doner metro not much else needed. and easy conversion.anyone out ther able to build a 1.4 16v convertion for me? ill suply the mini ( clubby estate) and what ever car is needed for the convertion then you do the rest!!

Our frame is £750 + vat If you px a k frame -£50 + vat
ill give it a shot myself it will be ok if we get the lads round and get it done propper lol

Converting a metro frame isnt hard if you can weld.

ive never welded but i have a mig welder!!
if i convert a metro frame ive seen a few people do it but it sticks out to far and looks gash
but if it saves 750 + vat its a winner lol
so whats the best metro to get for the engine and whats the best to get for frame?
