hey guys.

i read the other day in miniworld magazine that someone was looking to find some wheel archliners and the technical man replied saying that you used to be able to get them but not any more.

i was wondering if anyone knows of anyone that does them?

also how many people would be interested in buying some if they were to be sold?

Thanks
Jack

No their bendy plastic I think and you need to make sure their fitted correctly, otherwise muck can get caught behind them and cause more grief.

I can remember a feature on them years ago and it was said that they didn't supply enough screws or tags (or whatever is used to hold them in place) and so they recommended you fitted more to keep the muck out.

I have a set fitted on my cooper and they are plastic, they came with the car when I purchased it. They have done a brilliant job of keeping everything clean and rust free.

There quite rigid and a bit of a pain to fit/refit and mine are held in place with some self tappers.

Luke.

Yes they were. I have some fitted to my GT.

Think Dereks ones are different but I also think Camlo are long gone?

I also have a set. Had them about 3 years. As LukeH said they are a pain to fit I used pop rivits but they do a great job.
They are a bendy plastic.

As soon as you offer them up to the arch it will be obvious which side they fit but if you're really stuck when you try to fit them, send me a PM and I will take a photo of mine for you.

Im suprised that there is not more liners available from mini spares etc unless i not seen them! lol seems like a great idea but got to be
fitted correctly to, similar to on motorbikes they sell like rear mud gaurds that hug wheels tight called 'huggers' that keep all wheel spray off suspension, shock and linkages!

As all modern cars seem to have some sort of plastic liner now, I deally i guess it would be good if it was a one piece moulding that covered innr arch and all off inner vertical wing bit so nothing could get past though might mean you would need to remove half front end to fit but be worth it!!!

Has anyone ever tried using like a rubber type paint used to waterproof roofs on wheel arches etc? it never dries hard just stays rubbery!
My Dad used it on his roof to great effect!
