You really need to take current pictures of the front panel, scuttle, A panels, door bottoms so prospective buyers have a true idea of its condition.
In my experience cars that are way off from immaculate rarely make much money these days as restoration costs are prohibitive, so any offer around the £700 mark I personally would consider carefully. As dealers we should show interest by the way

Hes only posted up what he thinks it needs - could be more (is there any way of you going to check the car?)

i stay about 30 mins away so might pop up and give it a wee check. As with the others, I'd be happy to give around about the 700 mark but I maybe push to about 800.

by the sounds of everyones comments it seems like it needs a lot of work

Few points need clarifying, the vendor say they've done the clutch and gearbox because they were siezed, ask him if both have been replaced and exactly what parts have been renewed.
He's only had the car since 3rd of feb.
Its not 100% original as the front wings have been replaced or re-painted(note lack of stripe)
Dash is ropey.
The a-panels look shot.
Ask for pictures of the wing seam/scuttle/door steps.
I'd also guess that the bodywork is far worse than it looks in the pictures.
Value......well the vendor gave £1011 for it, I think he gave a bit too much for it!!
Theres some issues with the car, the welding and bodywork could eat up £600-£800 to have it done properly, thats without the other "issues" the seller mentions.
I wouldn't be giving more than £700 for it.

If you're on a budget I'd stay away from this one, I honestly think that its got the potential to be a bag of nightmares!!
Did you ask exactly what work had been done to the clutch and gearbox?

They usually go due to water getting behind it and rotting the bottom (the laquer peels) - imagine what must have happened to that?!
