One of ours kept blowing the intercooler pipes off, biso header kept falling apart too, so we got a 9080 now, with a 30' new holland header.
The header trailer it was supplied with is shocking too!

We have just started calving on the farm where I work. Should have just over 200 to calve. Had 40 calve already.
your in for some long nights then!? is it a beef or dairy farm?
Has that cr980 blown up on you yet mistro? I assume its a 30ft header?

we have had a few problems with it, more to do with pulleys and hydraulic pipes rather than the intercooler though! the header is varifeed 30ft header, which is new hollands own isnt it? the one where the knife table moves backwards and forwards! the only problem with the header is the vibrations cracking the guards! it was the last 980 to be sold in the uk, so had most of the issues sorted on it! the header trailer is shocking though, theres literally a few mm for the front trunking to get between the tyres and the header! there are apparantly 2 trailers for the headers though, ones got a dolly on the front so follows the combine perfectly, and the other one, the cheaper one, which our boss got, just the twin axel one which is shocking! apparantly new holland have nothing to do with the header trailers though! the 9080 headers are mahoosive in comparison to the one we got! so much more metal work on them! a hell of a lot stronger!

Yup thats the same as oursjust the twin axel one which is shocking!

I doubt yours gets the hammering ours does. The driver tries to out do the other, so he drives it flat out and spends more time down and ends up playing catch up then

But nobody got stuck this year

Not really just long days. Its a dairy farm. Nz based pasture system so the majority are cross bred cows (Nz genetics for the past 10 years). We have just started calving on the farm where I work. Should have just over 200 to calve. Had 40 calve already.

We check them at about 9-10pm then start at 6am. Most calve them selves with no trouble. Last year out of 180 only 5 needed assistance.
