Well....back in the day....when I were a lad of 16!!!

I had a 'ped

It was a Honda MT50, brand new, fitted it with an Autissa 65cc big bore kit, Gianelli power pipe(which I cut in1/2 and removed the baffles) and a set of reeds. That would do 65 on the flat!!

2 of my mates had the coolest 50's ever one was a Honda MB50(looked like a race bike but did 35) and the other was a Yamaha Fs1E custom, teardrop tank, big seat, fake sissy bar, wicked tool!!!

Shifty on a Moped :dontgetit:

I just cant picture that :)

It wasnt a pink Moped was it?

:)

Jono, you just need to fix the headlight so it looks more like an eye, dress as a wolf, et voila:

Well, lots of fun (frustration) has just been had.

God up there, hooked it up to a 12v car battery, it turned over fine, everything works bar the headlight :dontgetit:. But... it wouldnt fire.

I spent ages trying to get it to fire, so my dad told me to check if it was sparking, which it was. So he cleaned the plug, put it back in and it still wouldnt go.

So.. he cleaned it again, really thoroughly, and eventually it coughed into life :P

So now i know what it feels like for you lot when you've spent 2 hours trying to get something to start and when it finally does, the feeling is exstatic :).

Now i need to get the ruddy light working (the bulb is fine)

And check if the exhaust is blowing (smoke was coming up via the side as well as from the pipe).

Anyway, you wont find all that very interesting, but i thought you needed filling in ;).

Wow! what it needs now is a silly amount of mirrors, some chrome and one of those fox tails.
And you need to get one of those open faced bell helmets.

I like :dontgetit:

Haha!, ive seen the way people complain about 50cc's, but really, it takes over an hour and a half to walk to town from where i live, so anything quicker is much better :(.

Nice one Jon! beautiful little thing.

I used to ride a Garelli Katia - Very rare and temperamental but an absolute joy, No summer is the same again.

Insurance, which is only third party, will be £150. CBT (Compulsory Basic Traning) is about £90, Then tax and MOT is about £45-£55 combined.

I still need a battery... which is about £20, tyres are suspect, and new ones are about £20 each,

So i need to spend another £335 or so, which i dont have ^_^.

On another note, i got it going, put a car battery on the floor, and took it for a spin, love it :trooper:
