Haha awesome I've had 2 of those, still got one deeply buried in the garage :mrcool:
Got me through my bike test in the Isle of Man, I'm planning on boreing it out, derestricting it, and fitting one of those bolt-into-the-airfilter nos kits :P
Proper pocket rocket!

Small update time.

I remade the 'seat lock' because the first one i made was flawed and rubbish anyway. This one is much more sturdy, does the job better and looks a lot better as well.

New lock fitted too.

All i have to do now is change the brake cable/lever and recover the seat, and then its done :D

Might want to get some form of cover or something to go around the lock or it'll hit the plastic and scratch it...

The ironic thing is that my dad said that about 10 minutes ago :)

Well, guys, i've been on image search. Was looking at how I could improve this thing in the future...

First I found this, a honda dio 125 engine fitted.

Then, I put 'honda dio engine' into google images, to see what one looked like.

And up popped this, my jaw actually dropped:

I think this thing could look properly cool in future :)

I've got these little C/F stickers that people put on their bikes to either cover scratches or stop them...

Only thing with those it the lock can actually travel quite a bit so you'll need a big sticker.

Changed the cable and brake lever today. We where expecting the cable to be an absolute hell job so we attached a wire to one end of the cable, so that when we pulled it out it would pull the wire through and thus you could sellotape the new one to the wire and pull it back up.

That didnt work though, because the tape we used made it too fat to come through the small hole, so my dad did the spontanious thing of pulling it straight out and then went "right, stick the new one in".

It turned out to be the simplest thing in the world, we where expecting it to wedge in there and not go through etc etc but it just went straight up and out :proud:.

2 minutes later and we had functioning front brakes. Lovely stuff. No pictures im afraid, but there we go.

Right, small update, words and no pictures as usual, but there we go.

Fixed the stand, just had to tighten the bolt that holds it on and now it stays in the up position without hitting the ground when going along.

All that i have to do is finish the seat now, and then its done .

Well it was more of a case of it was easier to just go and get one than to faff about finding somewhere that does small ones, plus it really doesnt worry me at all. I cant afford my mini at all, comparison sites brought up the quote £1715, for an unmodified mini at 17 so i decided a moped is a more practical solution for the moment.

i love these things loads of my mates had them when i was at school. i used to practice my mechanics on them and we had a go at tuning them up using larger carbs and bigger boar exhausts not sure if it made any difference but at the time we all were sure it did. my first motor bike was a bsa beaver link bellow to see how cool my bike was hahaha it was quicker than the peds though as had the carb exhaust and other bits off the 100cc version and a engine built by a friend who raced classic 125 two strocks. oh good old days
