Right then guys and gals.

As you know, TMF+ is currently suspended due to issues with the membership packs. This poll is to ascertain if the packs are entireley necessary bearing in mind the discounts you are getting as part of the membership.

OK, currently, for your £10 you get the following:

1) The opportunity to conribute to the continued upkeep of TMF as a whole

2) Discounts with the following companies:

Gallileo Gauges - 10% Tmf+ Discount
Optimise Automotive - 10% Discount
Minispares - 7.5% Discount
Specialist Components - 6% Discount
Sureterm Insurance - 15% Discount
Mini Magazine - 36% Off Annual Subscriptions
Mini Magazine - 36% Off Annual Subscriptions
Moss Europe - 10% Discount
Adrian Flux Insurance - 15% Discount
K.A.D - 5% Discount
M Machine - Discount Varies
Minifilms - 10% Discount

3) a membership pack including:

1 x Welcome letter
1 x Membership card
1 x TMF logo sticker
1 x TMF URL Sticker
3 x TMF Spotted Cards

Now, I personally would be happy not to receive the Membership pack (espeically in light of the issues recently). We could put a pdf up of the spotted cards on the site so it could be printed off if necessary. and your TMF+ membership number is added to your profile when you join so the membership card is irrelevant.

So the options are as follows:

1) Keep the current system and TMF+ will be offline until we sort out a better way to get the membership packs sorted
2) Abolish the Packs all together, get TMF+ up and running, get people back contributing to the upkeep of TMF and obtaining their discounts

As I have said Personally I am voting for No 2. I also believe that without packs the staff can then concentrate on getting further discounts for you all to benefit from.

I say,
The TMF spotted cards, i made little ones before for people to print, there on here somewhere.
Allow people to buy url stickers. (id be more then happy to open a online shop to do this, got the resources)
As for the membership numbers some how make it so there on peoples private part of the controls section

1 x Welcome letter - can be sent via an email/PM - saves paper
1 x Membership card - as you said can be published on the members profile - and saves paper
1 x TMF logo sticker - Don't mind paying for one - maybe the price of this and the URL sticker could be discounted for TMF+ members?
1 x TMF URL Sticker - see above.
3 x TMF Spotted Cards - can be printed off.

I just voted for number 2.

Be nice to get some more stickers etc but im happy to pay for them as and when. Membership number being on profile is good - but only viewable by me (so non TMF can't obtain discounts using my number - if that makes sense)

The welcome letter should just be an email stating your membership number and other information. Then you could attach a printable membership card to the email so people would have proof of membership and something to remind them of their membership number to apply for discounts.

It'd still be useful to get a TMF sticker, but the rest can work online easily enough.
