i think for next season the brains behind the fantasy formula 1 thing need to make some changes,
its rather boring now as all we have to do is wait for results, we cant change anything.

im doing a world cup fantasy team and you can make subs and change your captain, you can even make a limited number of transfers, so should your players team be knocked out you can get rid of him.

i think you should be able to pick 3 drivers and you have to drop one when it come to the race, but this has to be done before saturday qualifying, but after friday practice.

i just think it could do with something to keep it interesting rather than just waiting for results to pour in.

what do others think?

Yeah but you can do that in real life football too, subs and stuff. In Formula 1, unless you have an incident like Massa's last year then the driver that starts the season ends it, only on rare occasions do they change. You could just dictate the amount of points you get according to how the seasons going too. We all know that upgrades are made to, aero, cooling etc as the season go's on, you can just update your team as the updates come out, see which cars are fastest, which drivers are doing well and just chose them to earn more points, woulda kinda ruin it.

yes! had to avoid the result for two days because the skybox failed to record . kobayashi finally achived somthing!! he was 3rd for ages, only had to pit to use the other compound, then got two decent overtakes one on the last corner! (also, im still winning!)

This whole topic should be deleted..Everyone has already said that the point system is flawed and unreasonable.. You can pick two of the worst drivers and be winning lol...

i kind of agree with above, its become somewhat pointless, when like you said you pick decent drivers who finish the races well, only to not get many points as the merc engined teams win.
i wouldve thought they would have put more emphasis on the drivers rather than the car,
as lets face it if youve got a good car you'll win.

I think its a bit of fun If you dont want to participate anymore then so be it! Theres no winners prize or anything, just a bit of fun in pixels Enjoy, you might do better in the last races of the season.

ahh craig dont get me wrong, i like it. Im willing my drivers and teams on in every race so i can stay up near the top. (4th at present and its close)

i just think there should be more emphasis on the driver as opposed to the engine especially as the number of engine makers relatively to the number of cars isnt even,

if every engine maker had their engines in the same number of cars, rather than merc having half the field, it would be far more representative of the quality of the engines.

i no that the fact the merc engines are used by so many shows there quality in the real world, im just saying the above to apply it to the fantasy league scoring if that makes sense??
