I think I've got some engine problems...
My engine has been leaking oil from the rocker cover so I replaced the rocker seal with a new one. But its still covered in oil...
It looks like its coming from my rocker cap... But my dad said that I've got compression at the top of my head,
He didn't think this was right... Said he thinks my head gasket has gone.
I've also got compression through my dip stick hole too!
Any ideas what could be the problem? I don't want to drive it too much if the engine is going to get more damaged... ?
Thanks

indeed that does sound strange, i would connect up a compression tester to it and just see, but to be honest head gasket only takes me 20mins so its not a hard job so no panic, also try oil in the bores then running a comp test again if there's no difference from before then your rings have gone

Agree on the compression test, but the simptoms (especially pressure from the dipsick) makes me think about worn pison rings, and not an head gasket failure.

so yeah i would recommend trying the test with a small bit of oil

Do a dry test first, take down the readings then a wet test, (squirt a bit of oil down the cylinder through the plug hole). Do each cylinder one at a time for accuracy. If the compression goes up on the wet test then it's either rings or bores. VERY unlikely to be head gasket.

Pop round and we can check the compression! but as everyone else said, it sounds like rings/bores to me.
