Now I had to replace the brackets that the rear subframe bolt into. They are at both ends of the heelboard. Since that part seemed really difficult to have new, I didn't have much choice but to make them.

 

I mesured the bolt patterns from the subframe, marked the heelboard and drilled holes in it first.

Then I could drill the same holes in the bracket, and weld in a reinforcement

Then, weld in the nuts

thanks! I really enjoy reading resto threads that are detailed, so I try as much as I can to make one myself

 

There is a bit more work done now. The left rear wing is sorted out, and a bit of the right one. Pictures coming in the next weeks. While it's still warm outside, I prefer to spend the time in the garage instead of in front of the computer!
