1 week at the local council, going around with the photographer and also designing posters and stuff, wasn't to bad but wasnt great either

3 weeks down with chris at smart performance, best work experience so far to be fair, learned a fair bit about the engines and stuff.

and i also run the local skateshop on my own from time to time voluntarily to help out the owner, so i class this as work experience too :P and its pretty fun when its busy

2 weeks at a Sign & decal manufacturer - all that sexy Vinyl!

Had an altercation with the boss, he told me to do the weeds outside the shop so i went home and his spade got stolen from outside :P Went back the next day and he apologized.

Got quite a lot of 'freebies' along with some good knowledge and experience in that trade, which i enjoyed.

bently motors prototype and tool shop. 100% as cool as it sounds. heavy machinery, factory tours to secret places, rides in custom mulliner bentlys 'borrowed' from the production line, talikng to a guy called elliot and the rest of the tool shop and prototyping guys about our minis, doing secret things i can never tell anyone about because of secrecy contracts... yeah pretty good week actually not to mention dodging brand new bently conti supersports flying out on test runs! >_<

Spent mine with Fire and Rescue =D

Was great fun! Went down the river Tyne on the fire boat, up in one of the cherry picker style rescue cages. Did a rat run sort of training exercise, basically a 3d maze, the rooms filled with smoke so you cant see a thing and you have to fit all your breathing apparatus through some pretty tight spots!

Spent each day with a different department.

Spent mine at my local VW Garage. Was pretty decent;
After the first half a day, the guy supervising me realised I was fairly competent and just left me in charge of doing the MOTs (occasionally coming past to check I hadn't ruined any cars :thumbsup: )
Got 2 brand new unregistered Porsche 911 GT3s come across from the Porsche garage across the road because they didn't have MOT testing facilities for PDIs and MOT checks.....and then we took them out for a bit of a spin afterwards just to check they were working all correctly >_<

That said, we didnt half have enough Golf MK5s to MOT! Could have done one with my eyes shut by the end of the week!

Did get to try a hand at some other stuff while I was there (not just MOTs).

A good experience :sneaky:

I worked at a Porsche Dealership in the workshop. Best 2 weeks of my life, helped maintain the press fleet - did some work on the boxster that was on top gear when clarkson did that army exercise with it and the slk55. Also got a ride in a carrera gt which was one of the best things i have ever done.

I was working before and after school when it was time for me to do work experience so I didn't bother doing any.

Oh how working at Londis was...........rubbish, there's nothing like spending all my wages on MATCH and SHOOT magazines before i'd even left the shop, lol.
