Apparently they are extremely loud, not interested in fitting to mine as it would be too loud for me! Anyone know what its worth?
Found a few stamped letters numbers: JS, 1251 (on the manifold) and L4 on the main body itself. ?????

Think you could be right on the jonspeed ect, maybe the stamp is between the manifold and carb main body???
The guy who sold me the mini said it was a weber, but I am totally unsure of the model ect....

That L4 is not stamped onto the body its on the linkage which is bolted on, you need to unbolt the linkage from the top of the body and check whats stamped on, its a weber or delorto, looks like a dcoe either 40 or 45, the linkage is used when its not on the inlet manifold like if your using a steel inlet manifold. They are very loud and not favoured on daily use road cars, it looks to be in great condition too.

That's a rather rare JanSpeed manifold (not from that blatant rip-off brand ;) (joking!))...

The ID of the carb is hidden below the throttle linkage bracket that's bolted on top (red screws). If it's a WEBER it's something like 'DCOE' and 40/45/48, the latter numbers being the size of the throttle. If it's a DelOrtho, it's a DHLA number (same sizes).

You need this in your life ;) The sound is too addictive. Looks a dead ringer for a Weber DCOE. Numbers will be under the top linkage bracket as above, so whip that off and have a look.

Too Loud for me im affraid, I use my mini most days for work, is already loud enough with my twin DTM! plus It is running perfectly well on a single carb.
rather just sell it and get some welding done with the money to be honest! lol

best bet is to look on ebay, they can go for well over £100 in that condition, coupled with the inlet manifold, if you explain its 'rather rare' it should fetch a pretty penny

unless you want to send it to me and il love you forever

Yeh, been looking on ebay, that was my intention. However I have not found anything like it for sale, since I dont know what im talking about it, im stuck with it not knowing its value, might stick it on classifieds here and see what people offer.
