Hi been offered the chance to buy 2.0 vauxhall conversion.seems to be the all speed subframe and engine mounts and the 2.0 16v (NON red top engine) engine is in the mini however ther are no carbs or altenator and although the engine was from a reputable vauxhall breakers it hasnt run in the mini.gearbox and driveshfts are there gearbox is fitted in the car but the drive shafts have not been altered.
Also i would be swapping this for my Mg metro 1275 engine thats in the car and running just had a strip and check over new rings bearings ect bores were excellant.had all the valves reground.so this would be up for sale to.
If anyone can guestimate what there worth or needs any more info to have a go these ask.
Thanks in advance
Pete

Don't know how much it's worth, but I would take the vaux' engine out of the equation, what you are buying is the frame, and is your engine worth ( and I assume cash ) the cost of the frame, I would also double check that it's an allspeed frame and not a home made jobbie. you still have to sort the drive shafts and potentially find parts for the engine.

I would say yes and get yourself over onto 16vminiclub. mark out the driveshafts to the lengths you need and get them chopped and rejoined or 'Aband' can make you some custom ones at a very good cost. Also like person above has said, make sure it's an allspeed frame. Also if you can afford it go TB's and megasquirt :D

Edit* Also 'Aband' also makes alternator brackets.

You will also need a 90mm extended front. definitely go and have a look/post up on there. People on there are so helpful and out of the lot of them know everything lol.

I'd be interested in a frame if you deciede to pass on it.

As stated with a round nose you need to extend the front bodywork.

My plans are to put it in the mini i have its a mini 30 that now has a clubby flip front so this engine will be for sale hence the valuation on it.

You won't need a extended front then mate so thats a plus side.
