if its a direct copy of the old key...try this.move the little flap to one side and spray with wd..new cut keys can be a bugger so work it very gently
i have tried wd a few times but the key doesnt seem to go in fully there is about 5 mill of the cut edge of the key still sticking out

If so just take the new keys back and get the place to do them again; I had some keys cut and they didn't work, turned out they're just been cut slightly wrong.

Or do the old ones work but the copies dont? in which case go back to where you got them cut.

my old keys dont open fuel cap, i only got new keys cut because my old ones look pretty weak so thought it would be better if i try a new key.So you've had some new keys cut? So you have one set that works and the new set that doesn't? Unless I'm reading it wrong (lack of punctuation makes its harder)

Well, any new keys will just be copy's of the old one. so if the old ones don't work, the new ones wont either.

my fuel cap key (original) doesnt open the cap, but i didnt want to try it to much as the key looked really rusty and weak. so i got a new key cut to try in the lock. i have tried wd a few times but key seem to go in most of the way down the barrel then stops with about 5mm of key still sticking out.

If so maybe theres something stuck in the lock? Or just get a screwdriver and force the cap off (Sorta like fuel thieves do) and replace it with a new one.

That could twist the filler neck couldnt it ?
Surly better to drill the barrel, then use a driver ?

If the door locks won't lock, then it could be the latches have disengaged. Removal of the door trim panels will be necessary to gain access to the inner door components.
