i comp;etly agree with this, ive seen some big bands live and there amazing and the crowds are wicked, then ive seen some of these new bands with some screamo spray on jeans lead singer and the crowds are horrible, and the atmosphere is so much better! hmm..

see im the opposite i hate metallica and iron maiden just could never get into them, seems sometimes people who listen to these for years never want to move on from it and think they are the best thing since sliced bread lol, music has changed over the years and produced some amazing bands, not saying you shouldnt like them because we all have different tastes in music.

I dont see why it would make a difference if 15year olds listen to them, why would this make you not like the music, if you like it nothing should stop you listening to it, im sure more 15 and unders listen to metallica and iron maiden lol

im into bands such as:

August burns red
Parkway drive
Architects
A day to remember
Four years strong
Emmure
Alien ant farm
Every time i die
The chariot
Meshuggah

just to name a few :mrcool:

I love rock music and but i dont like iron madien and only like one song from some of the bigger bandstoo, so its like a mixed band. i dont really go on the bands apperance really if they sound good i like them. But most of the bands i dislike now are bands like BMTH and stuff. But everyone has their opinion :mrcool:

aye but itts a tricky one,
because you see em all and you actually feel ashamed that they like same music, your like, pfft.

jsut kill it, really.
its just like with out else, if your parents wore same clothes as you or likes same things and others new about it likfe friends and what not, you'd be embarrased no?

specially if it involvs a very queer looking guy with emosh hair and his younger sisters jeans on,
i mean REEELLYYYY haha.

idk, foo fighters and the likes, older bands are the best, there are a few news ones, but old is gold lol

likes of paramore, ym@6 and mchemical romance, jsut make my skin crawl, for whatever reason lol

shedd is right new metal music is beyond listenable. i really liked certain bands when they first started. i.e slipknot, trivium, avenged sevenfold

but those leechy emos claimed it as there own. ive never felt so ashamed to be wearing a iron maiden t-shirt from the 80's proper vintage then see a little teeny bopper walk past me wearing anouther iron maiden shirt.

i honestly would say that metal hasn't been the same since about 2001

and the next person to call me an emo is going to die grrrrrrr

go to pigeon park in brum, you'd love that :mrcool: haha

i dnt see any problem with people liking music from the past.
i love the clash, dead kennedys etc but i wasn't around from there time.

however i know how you lot mean about liking a band then strting to not listen to them as new/annoying little kids suddnely found them and starting loving off of them.
