my straight cut drop gears got me an advisory for "excessive transmission noise" what the hell, lol, they normally clatter around more than standard drops!

lol i had an advisory once for "tyres showing wear"... 4mm on all the tread :s

seems mot guys are covering themselves by putting anything down..

i think if its stupid loud they can give you an advisory?


The current ruling is that the car should not be noticeably louder, in the opinion of the tester (not the owner), than a standard production line example of the same model was when new. Breaking this is a reason for rejection (fail), not an advisory.
