I'm ready to start work on a winter project, the problem is i have two choices of shells to use. The first one is my old clubman (as in my avatar), which is complete and fairly solid, the second is nicks (brawlyrox's) cast off, a deseamed rust bucket(below).
The clubman will need, floors, rear wheel arches, rear valance, a panels and sills replacing, the black one will need the same plus metal work on the bulkhead, boot floor and parcel shelf plus a lot of exterior work to make the deseam flat etc.
I dont have any problems with the welding etc but which shall i use? The clubman could be sold as it runs and only needs minor work to pass an mot but the black one couldnt.
I'm planning on building almost a total track based car which will be used on the road a little. Both will have to be clubman flip fronted for my engine to go in.
Your opinions please, thankyou, please

Id restore the clubby... that rust bucket looks totaled... wouldnt trust the deseam looking at the interior welding.

Rich you have a point, the welding looks pretty good where its deseamed, the exterior filling is the main problem, plus i'll be adding strengthening and a full on welded in cage anyway so that shouldnt be a problem.
