Having just read this whole thread I was not surprised by it's conclusion, carbon fibre is not to be associated with cheap products. as Ben has said they make quality stuff that will last.

Carbon fibre is designed for race use where budgets are higher and every gram or so of weight loss makes a difference. Someone prepared to pay the £80 for the head lamp surrounds would also be prepared to pay the £200 plus for the rocker cover. Of course by that stage they've already done everything else they can such as roofs, front ends, seats etc.

Hopefully companies like carbonweezel and of course Ian Curley will keep pushing the boundaries on what is available but it will always come with a price.

just a thing though...alof of people like carbon because its astheticly nice to look at...bunch of tarts :) haha i joke.
what i think im aiming at is companys like curley and carbon weezle spend more time on their products than other companys, some make parts for the look of then not neccesarily aiming at weight loss, obviously with less care over their weight they can do much simpler carbon processing ie, wet lay up...which of course brings the price down.
carbon weezle are one of the companys who i view (rightly or wrongly) as a company who concentrate on race parts, in carbon, cost more but weigh less.
think quite a few people on this thread would be pleased with a cheaper carbon process being used to lower the price

If your only after 'the look' vinyl is what you need.

Carbon Fibre in any form of lamination process is not cheap.
