sounds familiar, mine is exactly the same, and it needs a bare shell resto, belive me!!
as the others have said, label everything!! dont rely on your memory, my shed is full of boxes and bags of bits and larger parts.
to be honest with that many panels to replace a bare shell build might be inevitable , your going to have to take pretty much everything off, and then discover more rust, there always is!

thanks for the advice but there isnt that many panels its the usual areas , i will get some pictures up ive made it sound worse than it is all it needs outter still ,step sills , rear valance and two floor panels . the front end was all on it but it wasnt fitted properly and was twisted and bits cut out of it so was easier to cut that off for the new front, i rekon a good 4 weeks at it would get body sorted and engine and subframes and engine dropped out and body ready for paint .

non genuine panels , but they are great quality , i have pictures but i hav to get pictures with it stripped

oo and the guttering on both sides has been bent cause it was lifted with a sling, has full interior but its all stripped and 4 brand new tyres too which is good but want a set of 10 or 12inch mini lites if anyone has a set cheap and is willing to post to northern ireland let me know

Ive seen worse mate, does'nt look to bad at all, you have a good project on your hands there.

thanks cant wait have all the panels and so on so am going to make a start on it next weekend once i get the garage cleared out and the front brake freed up

yup im gonna start one when i get round to starting it , as me and my dad are currently preping a 1965 vw camper for paint at the minute but starting it soon so stay tuned
