Been around awhile thought it about time i introduced myself.
I run a blue 1979 Pick up, which I bought in Feb 2004. I had never owned a mini before then, although I had looked after both my son's Mayfair/cooper and daughter's convertable and Clubman.
Mechanics are basically the same as the Morris Minor Traveller i had for 6 years when I started driving in 1966. Yes I'm one of them old ones. (but not grown up yet)
Live in NW London, and link with A's of Herts and LSMOC.
I have been restoring the Pick up back to the condition of its original resto in 1997 and have fitted discs, adj suspension, shockers, roof ariel and a number of shiney bits. ICE has been rewired and now sounds like it should do, front and back.
Engine 1275, 56Bhp on rolling road and 109 decibels out of the DTM exhaust at Castle Coombe, (no i didn't get on track)
i look forward to meeting any of you at events in the future. Just look for the Blue pick up with the crushed velvet dash!!
