Picked-up the Mini from the tire fitters :D. These are the wheels that I originally had painted for my Mainstrem Cooper. On the BRG Mini they look really ace IMHO.

First time round the balancing was terrible and I couldn't go any faster than 80 km/h without risking the Mini to fall apart due to vibrations.

Welded 5/16" UNF nuts onto the engine mountings before fitting the engine into the car.

It makes fitting the engine to the sub-frame so much easier.

Removed the head on my 1962 850, pleasantly surprised, other than a clean up and quick lap of the valves all is fine, apart from the valve seals which had gone hard and started to break up, then investigated a petrol smell on my mk2 Cooper, discovered the rh tank was leaking so drained it all off and removed the tank, need to see if it’s worth repairing or order a mini spares repro tank. Lucky really as no other damage done, could have been worse. Could have been lh tank though as I have a few spares,
